My first blog entry

Ooh, I've been wanting to blog forever! Why did it take me so long? Well, I just couldn't decide on a name. I wanted something catchy..witty, ya know, something cool:)

Also, I read with envy, other people's blogs and they seem to have their lives SOOOO together. Maybe this blog will help me with that. Hold me accountable, I aspire to be as together as everyone else seems. You see, I'm a "wing it" kind of girl. (ok, I'm not a girl, I'm 36) but if I see too many things on my calendar, I get a little anxious. I would rather just wake up in the morning and say, "Hey, let's go to the beach!" I don't think "together" people do that. They plan and schedule all so nice and tidy. Tidy...I'm not. We live among clutter, this homeschooling house of mine.

I do strive to provide a rhythm to our day and so far, we are accomplishing what I feel are the important things in life...learning responsibility, empathy, finding a real connection to the earth, being playful and comfortable in our own skin, embracing diversity and finding a passion. These are my goals for my family.

So, here I begin my blogging journey...
